I am so sorry for your loss. No one should have to endure the pain of losing someone so dear. We were never meant to experience pain, grow old and die. (Ecclesiastes 3:11) It was not until sin was committed by our first parents, Adam and Eve, that death was introduced to the human family.(Romans 5:12) We can give thanks to our Heavenly Father who lovingly sent his only begotten son to pay the ransom sacrifice for our sins. Because of this we will have the opportunity to see and hold loved ones that have fallen asleep in death in the very near future! You will be able to hold David again and you will never have to fear ever saying goodbye. This is a promise from God! (John 3:16; John 5:28, 29) Jw.org

Mr. Avery will greatly be missed by the Town of Murphy Police Department. His son, Jon, is an important part of our department and family and has been for many years. Mr. Avery was a private, but courteous and honorable man, therefore we will remember him for who he was and what he accomplished. The Avery family has our sincere condolences and will remain in our thoughts and prayers.
