Cleo Barton Parker, 95, of Niceville, Florida passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019 in a Niceville hospital. She was a native of Cherokee County, but had been living in Niceville since 1964. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

 

Cleo was the daughter of the late James Benjamin and Cora Thompson Barton and the wife of the late William K. Parker, who died June 21, 2002.

 

Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Parker Brown of Olympia, Washington and Kathy Ferguson and husband, Doug of Greensboro, North Carolina; a son, William Parker Jr. of Niceville, Florida; a brother, Herbert Barton of North Carolina; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

 

A graveside service was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2019 in the Valleytown Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Cleo Barton Parker to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 363 Miracle Strip Parkway SW, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548.

One of the sweetest, dearest, ladies I have ever known. So grateful to call her my Aunt. I have so many precious memories of Aunt Cleo. She was and will always be very special to me. She will be greatly missed. May it be a comfort to know that she is home at last!
