Rita Stiles Grizzle, 60, of Murphy passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019 in a Chattanooga, Tennessee hospital. She was a native of Cherokee County and lived in Dalton, Georgia before returning to Murphy. Rita enjoyed riding horses as a child and fishing. She was a wonderful and loving mother to her three sons. Rita was always willing to help those in need. Rita also enjoyed spoiling her children and watching them play ball.

She was the daughter of Ruby Stiles of Murphy and the late Sterlon “Sturb” Stiles. She was also preceded in death by a special grandmother, Otsie Dalrymple; one aunt and five uncles.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are three sons, Corey Grizzle and wife, Mandy of Marble, Cody Locke, and Chase Locke and wife, Breanna, all of Murphy; four grandchildren, Chloe and Cameron Grizzle, and Emma and Teagan Locke; two aunts, Cleta Crisp, and Sue Brown and husband, Goldman; three uncles, Michael Dalrymple and wife, Christina, Hayden Stiles and wife, Mary Lou, and Roger Stiles and wife, Margaret; and several cousins.

Memorial services were held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2019 in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with the Revs. Ronnie Dilbeck, Allen Harris, and Kenny Corn officiating. The inurnment will be at a later date in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Murphy. Honorary pallbearers were Zac Pinkerton, Zack Reid, Mitch Stiles, Tyler Duggan, Jesse Hunt, and Daniel Helton.
