Rhonda Queen Whitworth, 54, of Hayesville passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 in a Clay County care facility. She was a native of Rabun County, Georgia, where she had lived most of her life before moving to Clay County in 2015. She worked as a dispatcher for several years with Mountain Patrol in Rabun County. She was a member of the Lakemont Baptist Church, but had been attending Sweetwater Baptist Church. Rhonda enjoyed reading and listening to music.

 

She was the daughter of Hudson Queen of Rabun County and the late Irene Blalock Queen and the wife of the late Raymond David Whitworth, who died January 31, 2005. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Russell Queen.

 

Surviving, in addition to her father, are a daughter, Lisa Bradshaw and husband, Jack of Hayesville; two sons, Jason Whitworth and wife, Tabitha and Andrew Whitworth and fiancé, Kayla Woodall, all of Rabun County, Georgia; a brother, Shane Queen and wife, Melody of Rabun County; and nine grandchildren, Jeremiah, Breanna, Camden, Ariana, David, and Garrett Whitworth, and Hanna, Hailey, and Kayden Bradshaw.

 

A memorial service was held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Sweetwater Baptist Church with the Revs. Gary Graves and Jewell Gaines officiating.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Rhonda Queen Whitworth to Jack and Lisa Bradshaw at 40 Dills Lane, Hayesville, NC 28904 to assist the family with final expenses.
