I’m praying for strength beyond normal, to comfort you and your family. My condolence to you and loved ones. God does Not cause death right now. "Time and unforeseen occurrences befall all." Ecclesiastes 9:11. Remember: "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done,on Earth, as it is in Heaven." Matthew 6:10; Daniel 2:44. You see it is a government, that Jesus soon will rule as King. It will bring no death, sickness, pain, tears, peace, here on Earth. Plus the dead will live again, here on Earth. Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:11, 29; Isaiah 26:19. Make sure you look up all the scripture to see this is all true. There is more. If your interested please email me at:.
Everything is free. Jesus said go free give free. Because it is from him.

To all of Lisa's family,

Lisa touched my life with her deep beauty as a human being.

I knew her both at Inman Perk and at Brenau University.

She is missed.

This was such a heartbreaking thing to find out. To her family, my very deepest sympathy. My daughter had her as a teacher while at The Learning Center in Murphy and I was in awe of her diverse talents. She was a very gifted woman to say the very least. My heart goes out to you during this very sad time. As much as she deeply worshipped God, i know HE as well welcomed her into his Great Heaven. God bless you all during this time and in the future as well, as i know there will be great times of sadness still to follow. Rest in great peace Miss Lisa.

Lisa, our paths crossed so many times around the world, and yet we never met. You were at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and so was I. You were in China, and so was I. You were teaching for Brenau University, and so am I. I'm very sad that we will never have a chance now to meet, get acquainted as professional colleagues, and very likely become friends. I mourn your passing, along with all those who had the good fortune of knowing you in person. You will be sorely missed.

To Lisa’s Family,
We’re so saddened to learn of Lisa’s home going as were just getting to know her at our church in Gainesville. Since my maiden name was Lisa Ann Maginnis, I called Lisa my namesake! We’d have a good laugh over that and I enjoyed her humor and sincerity. We had lunches together and shared prayer requests this past Fall. We’d planned to get together again in the new year. Would have loved it if we could have done so! She surely loved you all and expressed how much joy she received from being with her family. Sending prayers and love, Lisa Hillary, Westminster Church

I hope Lisa's family can find some small comfort in knowing how many lives Lisa touched. Lisa always asked how she could best serve our students--she was committed to their professional success and well-being. This semester, she taught in the classroom right after me, so I got to witness her interactions with her students (because I was always running over and trying to gather my belongings and apologizing but she was so gracious and patient and warm)--they truly admired and trusted her, and her absence will be felt deeply by all of us.

Oh my heart ached so bad when I received this news
Holding all of you close in my prayers
What a shining light she was and still is - “Good for her and bad for us”

While I did not know Lisa that long, my memories of her will never fade. Her radiant smile, her wicked sense of humor, the genuine kindness she always showed me, all of this will keep her in my heart forever.

And how wonderful that so much goodness came her way in the days before her departure, of her soon-to-be adventures in China and graduate studies in Virginia! BRAVO my dear friend, and Oh! how I wish I could give you one last hug!

We are all absolutely crushed by this news. Lisa was such an inspiration to so many. Since 1969 when I first heard the name Maliska it has always carried the highest esteem and value to me personally. Lisa's dad Paul was my real life hero growing up and although I only knew of him when I was young, I was able to know him as a close friend when I moved to Hayesville 30 years ago and watched each of his kids grow to high achieving adults that he was very proud of. I loved watching all the kids run track and Lisa was exceptional. My heart goes out to the entire Maliska family and friends in this time of deepest sorrow.
