Juanita Roach, age 91, of Hayesville, died Friday, November 23, 2018 in a Towns County, Georgia hospital.  She was a native and lifetime resident of Clay County.  Juanita had worked for Clifton Precision and was a member of Fires Creek Baptist Church.

 

She was the daughter of the late Frank and Mamie Barker Roach.  She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Laura Coffey and Ruth McCray; and a great grandson, Matthew Laney.

 

Surviving are two sons, Russell Roach of Monticello, Georgia and David Roach of Murphy; a sister, Dorothy Roach of Hayesville; two brothers, Charlie Roach of Hayesville and Franklin Roach of Lawrenceville, Georgia; three grandchildren, Tammy Marcus, Angela Roach, and Amanda Bugg; and six great grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Fires Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Dallas Crowder and Rev. Matthew Roach officiating.  The interment was in the church cemetery.  Pallbearers were Zac and Seth Laney, Corey and Keith Marcus, Benny Kirby, and Chad J. Ficik II.  Honorary pallbearers were Brian and Jeff Roach, and Tony Lands.

 

The family received friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Fires Creek Baptist Church.

 

The family requests memorials be made in memory of Juanita Roach to the Fires Creek Baptist Church, 448 Rebel Lane, Hayesville, NC  28904.

I was saddened to hear of Juanita's passing. I worked beside her at Clifton for a while and always considered her a friend. I am sure she will be greatly missed. I will remember the family in my thoughts and prayers.
