Erica Ann Cheeks Robinson, 37, of Hayesville passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018. She was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County. She was a customer service representative with United Community Bank for 19 years and she loved every minute of it. Erica not only loved meeting people, but also loved helping people. She loved her church, Truett Memorial First Baptist Church and loved her Sunday School class which she also taught many years. Erica played the keyboard at the church for many years. She enjoyed walking and fitness. Erica loved her family very much.
She was the daughter of Herbert and Glenda Swanson Cheeks of Hayesville.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her husband of 17 years, Scotty Robinson; two daughters, Dagen and Danica Robinson, both of the home; a sister, Christina Bradley and husband, Chris of Hayesville; a brother, Glen Cheeks and wife, Melissa of Hayesville; her father-in-law, Jerry Robinson; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life was held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018 in the Truett Memorial First Baptist Church with the Revs. Johnny Foster and Jackie Sellers officiating. The eulogy was provided by Isaac Nicholson. The inurnment was in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were Abner Moore, Don Carroll, Rick Cantrell, Isaac Nicholson, Tim and Charlie Cheeks, Tim and Denny Patterson, Tim Davenport, and Jeff Penland.
The family received friends from 2-3:50 Friday afternoon at the Truett Memorial First Baptist Church prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Erica Ann Cheeks Robinson to the Dagen and Danica Robinson College Fund, c/o United Community Bank, 95 Highway 64 West, Hayesville, NC 28904.

Herbert and Glenda you should be very proud of the child you raised to be such an amazing woman.
There is no doubt in my mind Erica has already received her 1st assignment as a guardian angel. That person doesn’t know yet just how lucky they are!
