Patricia Jean Shoopman, 72, of Murphy passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at her residence. She was a native of Dayton, OH, and later moved to Cherokee County in 1999. She was a loving mother, who would do anything for her children.

She was the daughter of the late Robert and Cora Loraine Mains Bechtolt and the wife of the late Robert Toomey Shoopman, Sr., who died December 12, 2006. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Beverly “Babs” Platt.

Surviving are five sons, Anthony Lane Shoopman of Kettering, OH, Aaron Shoopman and wife, Missy of Murphy, Robert Toomey Shoopman, Jr. of London, OH, Fritz Shoopman and wife, Jeness of Murphy, and Patrick Shoopman of Asheville, NC; a brother, Robert Bechtolt of Dayton, OH; nine grandchildren, and a great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
