James (Jim) Norton Beattie, age 86 of Ocala, Florida, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, May 5, 2017 while visiting his daughter in Warne, North Carolina.

Jim was born in Glasgow, Scotland, but had lived in London from 1954-1975, when he immigrated to the United States.  He was involved in the construction business in South Florida until his retirement in 2003.

He was the son of the late Alexander and Annie Norton Beattie. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Alexander and Norton Beattie and a granddaughter, Brittany.

He was the loving husband of Iris (married December 22, 1950) who survived him, along with his five children, Shirley, Conrad and wife, Elizabeth, Don and wife, Pam, Heather and husband, Chuck, and Clive.  He is also survived by ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  He will be reunited with granddaughter, Brittany who passed in 2001.

We love you Pappy and you’ll be in our hearts forever.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Ocala, Florida.
