Angela Regina (Wagner) Herr, 83, of Murphy, died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the Clay County Care Center after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Born January 16, 1931 to Joseph and Anna Wagner, "Angie" was the eleventh of twelve children. She was born, raised, and lived most of her life in Baltimore, Maryland. She also resided in St. Augustine, Florida, and Hampstead, Maryland, but enjoyed vacationing in the mountains for many years before moving to Murphy in 2012. She was a Roman Catholic.

She married Henry W. Herr on January 21, 1950. They had two sons, Henry J. Herr (Kathleen) of Reisterstown, Maryland; and Randal A. Herr (Kimberly) of Murphy. After raising their children, Angela worked for First National Bank in Baltimore, retiring in 1992.

Angela was a devoted grandmother to her five grandchildren: Cindi, Jason, and Matthew, of Murphy; and Kathren "Katie" and Henry Christopher, of Baltimore. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, spending time with family, and shopping.

In addition to her beloved husband of 64 years, she is survived by her sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren, as well as four siblings, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in the Baltimore area.

A memorial service was held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 19, 2014 in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with the Rev. Mr. Carl Hubbell officiating.

Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy was in charge of all arrangements.
