Edwina R. Davies, 94, of Hayesville died Monday, March 12, 2012. She was a native of Rutherford, NJ, but had lived in New England before moving to Clay County in November 1982. Edwina was a retired registered nurse and attended the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Edwina was an avid quilter and a founding member of the Misty Mountain Quilting Guild.

She was the daughter of the late J. Louis and Rose McLees Lempert. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

Surviving is her husband of 70 years, Harvey Davies.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with Rev. George Kloster officiating.  Interment was at 10:00 AM Friday, March 16, 2012 in the Hillside Cemetery in Lyndhurst, NJ.

The family received friends from 12:30-1:45 Wednesday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville prior to the services.
