Roxy Darnell Blair, 53, of Murphy died Sunday, December 18, 2005 in a Copper Basin hospital. He was a native of Indianapolis, IN, but had lived most of his life in Florida before moving to Cherokee County six months ago. He was the son of the late Alfred and Katie Long Blair. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army. He had worked as a carpenter and was a member of the Mountain View Community Church.

Surviving are his wife of 18 years, Darlene D. Tennant Blair; two daughters, Lisa Glenn and husband, Bill and Noel Blair all of Deland, FL; a son, Robert A. Blair of Murphy; a sister, Trennia Tennant of DeBary, FL; four brothers, Perry Blair of DeBary, FL, Ronnie Blair of Colorado Springs, CO, Harold Long of Deltona, FL, and Larry Blair of Indianapolis, IN; and a granddaughter, Emily Helen Glenn.

A memorial service was held in Deland, FL.
