Janet Peek, 84, of Murphy passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019 in an Oswego, Illinois care facility. She was a native of Bearsville, New York and lived in Yorkville, Illinois before moving to Murphy in 1995. She had worked for Western Electric for 17 years.

She was the daughter of the late Ralph A. and Mildred Anita Rose Johnston and the wife of the late Robert James Peek, who died May 2, 2016. She was also preceded in death by a son, Terry Alan Peek; a sister, Bernice Virginia Johnston; and a brother, Mortimer Ralph Johnston.

Surviving are a son, Paul Robert Peek and wife, Melody of South Carolina; and a grandson, Andrew Justin Peek of Illinois.
