Clinton H. Ledford, 83, of Hayesville passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at his residence. He was a native of Cherokee County, but lived in various places while working as an iron worker before moving to Clay County 20 years ago. Clinton was owner and operator of C & S Tree Service.

He was the son of the late Vener and Lea Beaver Ledford. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Regina Ledford; a grandson, Jesse James Ledford; four brothers, Dillard, Willis, William Frank, and Louis Ledford; and three sisters, Louise Trantham, Kittie Mae Teague, and Oma Elrod.

Surviving are a daughter, Susan Prescott and husband, David of Clarksville, Tennessee; three sons, Joey Ledford of Hayesville, James Ledford and wife, Jo-Ann of Nashville, Tennessee, and John Ledford of Columbia, Tennessee; a grandson, Justin Prescott and wife, Beth of Memphis, Tennessee.

A Celebration of Life was held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Tusquittee Church of God, 4851 Cold Branch Road, with the Rev. Curtis Ledford officiating.

Visitation for the family was held from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
