Don Farmer, 59, of Murphy died Sunday, April 9, 2017 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County. He was a heavy equipment operator. Don was of the Baptist faith.

He was the son of the late Archie Don and Ella Jane Walker Farmer. He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Cody Farmer.

Surviving are two daughters, Heather Farmer and Maddie Farmer, both of Murphy; a sister, Elizabeth Baker and husband, Allen of Murphy; two brothers, Roger Farmer and wife, Kim and Doug Farmer, all of Murphy; a granddaughter, Raven Moore; three nieces, Chrystal Mimbs, Kendra Farmer, and Paige Farmer; and a nephew, Lonnie Farmer.

No public services are planned at this time.
