Patricia “Patti” Ott, 57, of Murphy died Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at her residence. A native of Queens County, NY, she had been a resident of Kissimmee, FL before moving to Murphy in 1986. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth Sweeney Blake. Mrs. Ott was a homemaker and a member of the House of Prayer in Blairsville, GA. She was the director of the Ask Program in the church.

Surviving are her husband, Richard M. Ott; two daughters, Debbie Marie Desjardins and her husband, Real J. of Blairsville, GA, and Cheryl Lyn Ott of Murphy; a son, David Joseph Ott and his wife, Tammy Sue of Murphy; two sisters, Anne Hayes and her husband, Buzzy of West Milford, NJ, and Mary Bannworth of New Jersey; a brother, Harry Blake; and two grandchildren, Andrew Jonathan Ott and Joshua David Ott.

Memorial services were held at 2:00 PM Saturday, Oct. 11 at the House of Prayer, Blairsville with Pastor Jerry Helton officiating.

The family received friends following the service.
